Show Tips
Bridal Shows Can Save You Time
and Money!
They can also take a big
chunk out of your day. We want to ensure your day spent with us is
productive.
Here are some tips that
will help your day at the bridal show be more fruitful.
Surf The Internet:
Check out local vendors via
searches on www.google.com , www.altavista.com,
www.msn.com, find out if they are going
to be participating in shows you will be attending. Prepare
a list of items and services you need and set a budget for each
item/service so that the show exhibitors may assist you with your plans.
Address Labels:
It is highly recommended that before the show,
you should print mailing labels with your full name, address (including
apt#), city, state, zip code, email address, phone number, & wedding
date.
When entering
your contact information for wedding vendors and signing up for the
grand prizes, instead of having to repeatedly write all your information
down, simply peel off one of your personal address labels & place on
the designated sign-up sheet.
Visiting Exhibitors:
If you arrive early you will
find you can avoid the crowds if you start at the back of the hall,
instead of the front where everyone usually starts, and then work your
way up to the front. Also be sure to make notes after visiting with
exhibitors so you will remember which exhibitors you are interested in.
Dress Comfortably:
If it's a large bridal show (100
or more booths), plan to spend a minimum of 4 or 5 hours in order to see
all the exhibits and the fashion show. Some shows have several
thousand square feet of displays, so be sure to dress comfortably, wear
comfortable shoes and have fun!
Bring Pen &
Paper:
It is also a very good idea to bring along a
pen & paper so you can make notes about the various exhibitors as
needed. After visiting hundreds of displays, it's easy to forget which
ones you were interested in.
Registration:
As you enter the show you
will find the Brides Registration area. All brides-to-be can register
here for a chance to win many Grand Prizes! Also many exhibitors
will mail you money saving offers after the show.
Who to Bring:
Whomever you feel
comfortable, spending a lot of time with.
Before the Show
Get
some rest. Eat something filling. A lot of activity
occurs at Bridal Shows. You may want to be WIDE awake!
Fashion Show:
Most Bridal Shows feature one or
more fashion shows. Arrive at
least one hour prior to the fashion show as the shows can get quite
crowded. Seating is usually on a first come, first served basis.
